THE POWER OF NOW – Day Retreat

How can we find more presence in our lives?  How can we learn to be still and listen to ourselves from within?  How can we use the power of now to feel strong, uplifted and engaged?

Join us on the 29th February for a day of yoga, a meditation talk from one of the world’s leading female meditation teachers, a self-practice workshop… ending with a more restorative practice, yoga nidra and a sound bath.

What to expect

Sophie’s mindful and strong vinyasa flow will start the day challenging you to move in a more conscious way.  A creative and playful sequence that will focus on transitions and balance will help you find a new layer of the practice. 

There will be a chance to play with your practice whatever level you are – from those who are beginning their yoga journey to those with a more advanced practice.  The only prerequisites are: a love of yoga, an interest in meditation and good vibes!

After a refreshment Jillian Lavender will be talking about meditation. In this session Jillian will teach you about Vedic Meditation — the world’s most ancient mediation technique. She’ll go right to the essence of meditation, and why it’s one of the most life-changing tools in our personal development tool-kit.  Jillian will also guide you through a simple and effortless practice to bring you back to the present moment. From this settled state of awareness, you’ll learn how to regain your spark and reconnect to your intuition.

After lunch Sophie will then lead you though a self-practice workshop allowing you to take away tips and tricks to live a life more rooted in the present moment.  Working on positive affirmations, gratitude and daily intentions as well as learning how to structure a sequence for you to practice yoga at home, on holiday or whenever you need. We will end the day with a more restorative practice, yoga nidra and a sound bath.

Sophie Dear

After years working in a tough, stressful job in the TV industry as an Assistant Director, Sophie decided to completely change her direction in life to become a yoga teacher. Sharing her story with others, she realised there were so many people in a similar position, finding it hard to find time to lead a happy & healthy life. So she set out on a mission – to help people access yoga and create a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

Jillian is one of the most experienced female meditation teachers in the world. Through teaching Vedic Meditation, the world’s most ancient form of meditation, Jillian has helped thousands of people transform their lives.
