weekend getaway

Join us for a weekend of dynamic yoga in the mornings, yin yoga in the evenings, delicious & wholesome food all in the most serene and peaceful setting.

What to expect

We welcome you to Runcton on Friday afternoon or as early as you can get there after work. There will be tea and biscuits waiting for you and a warm fire to snuggle up to. The first evening Sophie will take you through a slow flow and some restorative yoga. This will be followed by a delicious meal and a yoga nidra meditation before you head to bed.

On Saturday we will have a 2 hour dynamic class in the morning followed by a hearty brunch. The afternoon is yours to walk on one of the local beaches, relax in the house, have a massage, chat over cups of tea or snooze the afternoon away. Saturday evening there will be a yin yoga class followed by another delicious dinner.

Sunday we will have a final dynamic practice followed by another brunch (there will be plenty of food and this will be a big highlight of the weekend). The afternoon is yours for more massages, walks etc.

The yoga will be challenging but Sophie will cater to whatever level your practice is at. We will have a chance to workshop various poses and play with the practice so expect to learn a lot!

The Setting

Runcton Manor, set in the heart of West Sussex, is a family home that has recently undergone refurbishment. Runcton hosts a brand-new yoga studio, a private kitchen and dining space, luxury accommodation which sleeps up to 11 people (both single and shared occupancy) and is surrounded by an idyllic six and a half acres of land.  A truly tranquil setting, Runcton is the perfect place to rest, relax and escape the demands of everyday life, while practising yoga in a unique setting. In between yoga, you will have the chance to roam the gardens, explore the local countryside and beaches or curl up in our snug and put your feet up.  Guests are welcome to drive or trains run from London Victoria to Chichester (1hr30mins) and then a short taxi ride to the house.

Our delicious menus use fresh and organic produce, whilst also offering guests the chance to sample fresh ingredients from Runcton’s very own gardens, including; fresh apple juice from our orchard, eggs from our hens and honey from our bee’s.

We believe in a healthy, balanced lifestyle and for us food is at the forefront to achieve this. Therefore, our menus offer a combination of; fresh fruit and homemade breads for breakfast, raw salads and seasonal dishes for brunch, wholesome nourishing evening meals and of course it wouldn’t be a Runcton retreat without some home baked goods to keep your energy up across the weekend. We focus our energy on creating delicious vegetarian dishes, with all food prepared onsite. We try to make our menus seasonal, based on what we have growing in our garden and will of course cater for any individual dietary requirements.

Sophie Dear

After years working in a tough, stressful job in the TV industry as an Assistant Director, Sophie decided to completely change her direction in life to become a yoga teacher. Sharing her story with others, she realised there were so many people in a similar position, finding it hard to find time to lead a happy & healthy life. So she set out on a mission – to help people access yoga and create a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
