Terms and conditions

How these terms work

Part 1 applies to everyone.
Part 2 applies if you buy a digital product, such as a workbook, guide, download or online course.
Part 3 applies if you book a place in Sophie’s Circle.

By completing a purchase, you agree to Part 1 and to whichever other part covers what you’ve bought.

PART 1: GENERAL TERMS (applies to everyone)

1.1 Who I am
This website and its products are run by Sophie Dear, trading as [Sophie’s Fitness], [business address]. You can contact me at [email].

1.2 Coaching and therapy
My work is confidence coaching, education and reflective practice. Coaching is a separate service from therapy, counselling, psychological treatment or medical care, and it can’t replace any of them. I don’t diagnose or treat mental or physical health conditions, and nothing I share is financial or legal advice. Any ideas about money mindset are for personal growth only.

If you’re living with a mental health condition, are in crisis, or are receiving treatment, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional before using my products or services, and keep them informed. If you need urgent support, contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans on 116 123.

1.3 Your results
Any change you make comes from your own effort, choices and circumstances. I share tools, ideas and guidance, and you decide how to use them. I can’t guarantee any particular outcome.

Testimonials and examples on this site reflect individual experiences. They show what’s possible for some people and aren’t a promise of what you’ll achieve.

You’re responsible for your own decisions and actions, during and after working with me or using my materials.

1.4 Health and wellbeing
Some content includes breathwork, meditation, movement, rituals or reflective exercises. These are always optional. Take part only in what feels right for you, within your own limits, and stop at any time. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether something is right for you, check with your doctor first.

1.5 Intellectual property
Everything on this site and in my products, including text, slides, workbooks, meditations, videos, audio, recordings, images and branding, belongs to [Sophie’s Fitness]. It’s for your personal use only and may not be copied, shared, sold, taught or used in your own business or client work without my written permission. You’re welcome to share links to my site and quote short extracts with credit.

1.6 Liability
I take care to make my content accurate and useful, but I can’t accept responsibility for how you choose to use it. To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of my products or services, and my total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service in question.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited under law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

1.7 Free resources
Free downloads and email courses are offered as they are. When you sign up, you’ll join my mailing list, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

1.8 Privacy
How I collect and use your personal information is explained in my [Privacy Policy – link].

1.9 Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you make a purchase is the one that applies to it.

1.10 Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

PART 2: DIGITAL PRODUCTS

This part applies to downloadable PDFs, workbooks, guides, recordings and self-paced online courses.

2.1 Delivery
You’ll get access by email or through a download link straight after purchase. If anything doesn’t arrive, email me and I’ll sort it.

2.2 Personal use
When you buy a digital product, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for yourself. You can’t copy, share, resell or redistribute it.

2.3 Access
Online course content will be available for [the lifetime of the course / 12 months]. If I ever have to close a course, I’ll give you reasonable notice so you can download what you can.

2.4 Refunds
Under UK consumer law, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once you start downloading or accessing it. At checkout you’ll be asked to confirm that you want immediate access and understand you lose your right to cancel once access begins.

If a product is faulty or isn’t as described, contact me and I’ll fix it, replace it or refund you.

PART 3: SOPHIE’S CIRCLE

This part applies if you book a place in Sophie’s Circle. Part 1 also applies.

3.1 About Sophie’s Circle
Sophie’s Circle is a series of live online confidence catch-ups for women, run by Sophie Dear. Each session is a 90-minute group call on Zoom, with a recording shared afterwards.

3.2 Payment, cancellations and refunds

  • Payment is taken in full at the time of booking.

  • All sales are final and no refunds are given, including if you are unable to attend.

  • If you can’t make the live call, you’ll still receive the recording.

  • Your place is personal to you and can’t be transferred to someone else without my agreement.

  • If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, you’ll be offered a new date or a full refund.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

3.3 Recordings and links

  • Calls are recorded so participants can watch back. Recordings are for your personal use only.

  • Please don’t share your call link, recording link or any materials with anyone else, or post them online.

  • You may not record, screenshot or download any part of the call yourself.

  • By joining, you agree to appear in the recording if your camera is on or you speak. If you’d prefer not to be seen, keep your camera off and use the chat or message me privately.

  • Recordings will be available for 14 days. After that, access may be removed.

  • Sharing links or recordings without permission may result in your access being removed with no refund.

3.4 Confidentiality
What is shared in the Circle stays in the Circle.

  • Please keep everything other participants share private. Don’t repeat their stories, names or personal details outside the call.

  • You’re welcome to talk about what you learned and how it helped you.

  • I’ll keep what you share confidential, except where I believe someone is at risk of serious harm or I’m legally required to disclose it.

  • Please join from a private space where others in your home can’t overhear, or use headphones.

3.5 Community guidelines
The Circle works because everyone feels safe to show up as they are. When you join, you agree to:

  • Be kind and respectful, including when your views differ from someone else’s.

  • Listen without judging, fixing or giving advice.

  • Share from your own experience and leave space for others to speak.

  • Arrive on time and stay present. Please avoid driving or multitasking during the call.

  • Keep the space free of selling, promoting your own business, or recruiting other participants.

  • Avoid discriminatory, offensive or abusive language or behaviour.

I may remove anyone from a call, or from Sophie’s Circle, if these guidelines aren’t followed. No refund will be given in this case.

3.6 Technology
You’re responsible for having a working internet connection and a device that can run Zoom.
